Standards Edition (with Anders ‘AC’ Christensen, Frands Rifbjerg, Tobias Wiklund)

Upon invitation from the jazz club/feinschmecker italian restaurant Il Buco, Gemmer has gathered a unit of his favourite players in the modern mainstream jazz idiom. Longtime heroes Anders ‘AC’ Christensen and Frands Rifbjerg and recent acquaintance Tobias Wiklund playing lesser known Bud Powell originals, jazz standards and the occasional Gemmer original.

Two separate projects presenting exploratory reading of Ecclesiastes and Songs of Songs - two of the canonical Wisdom Books in the Old Testament.

Musical dialogue with Lindhart and the work itself, providing an abstract & provocative commentary.

Analogue synthesizers, sampling, electronically manipulated acoustic grand piano, composition & improvisation.

ALTING HAR EN TID toured Denmark in 2018 & 2019. HØJSANGEN has since 2020 been presented at churches, museums and venues around the country.
